NATH Corporation is now part of Team -6%

  Yokohama, June 17th, 2009 - NATH Corporation Limited now joins the Team -6% an initiative established in April 2005 as a Japanese international commitment to the Kyoto Protocol, and is a national campaign against global warming aimed at cutting greenhouse gas emissions by 6%.

The team leader is the Prime Minister and the sub-leader is the Minister of the Environment. "We are delighted to be one of member of the Team -6% initiative that is committed to cut greenhouse gas emissions by 6% y 2012. We as a corporation and its divisions, NATH Food Services and NATH Retail Services actively promote a business style called "COOL BIZ" to tackle global warming. In addition to it our Food Services division promotes no to the excessive packaging for the products that we deliver" said Sumitra Nath, CEO of NATH Corporation Limited.

Under the Kyoto Protocol, which came into effect on February 16, 2005 as a policy to prevent global warming, Japan is required to cut greenhouse gas emissions, such as CO2, by 6%, compared to the 1990 levels, between 2008 and 2012. The government’s Global Warming Prevention Headquarters is promoting the citizens global warming prevention movement Team -6%, which is bringing all Japanese citizens together with the goal of reducing Japan’s greenhouse gas emissions by 6% as stipulated by the Kyoto Protocol. Almost all corporations in Japan has joined the team in order to contribute to this initiative for the future and wellbeing of the globe. "It is important that we be part of the very important initiative and the only ways we will contribute is to continue providing green business or information technology solutions to our clients, while solving their problems, to attain competitive advantage" said Kalyan Kumar Nath, Chairman of NATH Corporation Limited.
