IACP Food History Symposium - Thursday, October 8

The Fourth IACP Food History Symposium, "All Things Culinary Around the World in 1849" will recount the culinary history of the mid 19th century around the globe and how these traditions converged on California during the Gold Rush era and influenced the following decades by focusing on different regions of the world in each session. Scheduled at the end of the California grape harvest, the entire area will be redolent of fermentation, promising an intimate and wine-soaked weekend.

Symposium Registration

The registration fee is $450 per person and includes food and local wine-related events that take place during the symposium. Registration is limited to 50 people and is offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Payment is required to reserve your space.

Location: The Historic Wine and Roses in Lodi, California

Wine & Roses provides a comfortable and relaxing environment for IACP’s 4th Annual Food History Symposium. The hotel is set within seven acres of towering trees and serene botanical gardens in the beautiful Lodi Wine Country. Wine and Roses is just 45 minutes south of Sacramento and 90 minutes east of the Bay Area.

IACP’s special symposium rates average $140 for a two-night stay, but the hotel has multiple room options available, including Historic Inn Rooms and King Suites with fireplaces (see the detailed hotel rate table below).
